**Taxpayers may claim the full amount of the credit for each vehicle (listed above) until the end of the first calender quarter after the quarter in which the manufacturer records its sale of the 60,000th vehicle. For second and third calender quarters taxpayers may claim 50% of the credit. The fourth and fifth calender quarters taxpayers may claim 25% of the credit. No credit is permitted after the fifth calender quarter after the 60,000th vehcile is sold by the manufacturer.
